What is the purpose of this message board and how does it work?
This message board is a place to share your masonic experiences and opinions with members and friends of the Sir John Corah Lodge. The message board contains a number of forums organized by topic. You may read the messages posted in each forum, post your own new message or reply to a message.
Message board posting guidelines
* When posting and replying, please respect the opinions and experiences of others, and use common sense etiquette in your postings.
* We invite and encourage a healthy exchange of opinions, but we will remove postings that contain personal insults or profane language, or are abusive.
* Advertising products or services, or soliciting business, is not allowed on this message board. Postings that advertise products or services, or solicit business, will be removed. Registered users who sell products or services may not include product or service contact information in their profiles. The message board administrator will remove such information.
* No soliciting business through private messaging between registered users is allowed.
* The webmaster reserves the right to delete messages that violate copyright law or the guidelines above, or that may be harmful to others. The webmaster also reserves the right to remove a user's ability to post or reply to messages when there have been serious or repeated inappropriate postings.

No, you may read messages only as a guest user. If you would like to post messages, you must register.
What are the benefits of registering?

* post messages.

(Note: Your e-mail address is not used for this; it will remain private and secure.)
* view a list of your own posts or those of another registered user, or view all posts since your last visit. This helps you use the message board more efficiently.
* have control over some of your settings (on the My Profile page), such as the times listed on the message board and whether to add a signature to your message.
Posting Issues
How do I post a message or a reply in a forum?
Easy -- click the new message or post reply button on either the forum or message screens. To post a reply to a message, click on post reply on the message screen. You can only post messages as a registered user.
In which forum should I post my message?
We have divided the message board into several sub-forums. Choose the forum that most relates to your message and post there. Be clear in the subject line of your posting so others will know what your post is about.
How do I edit or delete a post?
You cannot edit or delete your own posts or those written by other people. Contact the board administrator at webmaster@sjcmessageboard.co.uk for help.
What is a signature and how do I add one to my post?
A signature is a block of text that can be added to your post. Often people put contact information or a favourite quote in their signature. To add a signature to a post, you must be a registered user. To create a signature, go to the My Profile page. Once created, you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate button in your profile. You can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the Add Signature box on the posting form.
Private Messaging
What is private messaging?
This feature lets you exchange private messages with other registered users through the message board. Your e-mail address is not used for this; it will remain private and secure.
I cannot send private messages.
Have you registered and logged in? You must be a registered user to exchange private messages with other registered users. (Note: You cannot exchange private messages with guest users.) If you are registered and logged in, the board administrator may have prevented you from sending messages. Please contact the board administrator at webmaster@sjcmessageboard.co.uk to find out why.
My Profile: User Preferences and Settings
How do I change my settings?
If you are registered, all your settings are stored in a database. To change them click the My Profile button. You can change all your settings on this page.
Log In Issues
Why can't I log in?
Have you registered? You must register in order to log in. Check that you are entering your username and password correctly. If those are correct, you may have been banned from the board. (A message will be displayed if you have.) If so, contact the board administrator at webmaster@sjcmessageboard.co.uk to find out why.
Why am I not still logged in when I re-visit the message board?
If you do not check the Log me in automatically box when you log in, the board will only keep you logged in for a pre-set time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box that says Log me in automatically each visit when you log in. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, for example, a library, Internet cafe, university cluster, etc.
I've lost my password.
Don't panic! While your password cannot be retrieved, it can be reset. To do this go to the log in page and click I've forgotten my password. Follow the instructions and you should be back online in no time.
I registered but can't log in.
Check that you are entering the correct username and password. If you are sure the e-mail address you used is valid and you still can't log in, then e-mail the board administrator at webmaster@sjcmessageboard.co.uk
I registered in the past but can't log in anymore.
The most likely reasons for this are: you entered an incorrect username or password (check the e-mail you were sent when you first registered) or the board administrator has deleted your account for some reason. If it is the latter case, then perhaps you did not post anything. It is usual for boards to periodically remove users who have not posted anything so as to reduce the size of the database. Try registering again and get involved in discussions.
